Awards: Medal winners at the 'Concours des Grands Vins du Languedoc-Roussillon'

A wine competition organised by the French Union of Oenologists of Languedoc-Roussillon, the 'Concours des Grands Vins du Languedoc-Roussillon - Les Grands Vins du Sud', has unveiled its winners for 2012. After an initial tasting event held in Beziers on the 25th of April, which brought together 460 wine tasters to evaluate 1280 wines, gold medal-winning wines were re-tasted as part of a grand final at the Château de Lastours in Portel des Corbières on the 10th of May to crown Superior gold medal winners.
 
In total this year's competition has awarded:
56 Superior Gold Medals
119 Gold Medals
172 Silver Medals
56 Bronze Medals
